If you’re looking for an adventure and an opportunity to make a difference, then our overseas challenges are perfect for you!

Whilst providing an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience, it also offers the chance to make a positive impact on patients, and their families, cared for throughout our family of NHS hospitals.

Travel to Lapland with our partner Global Adventure Challenge on the most unique of charity events! Spend six days sledding through the Swedish wilderness on an experience you will never forget.

The challenge is to sled over 240km across Sweden through untouched nature, and celebrate your achievement at the world famous Ice Hotel!

It begins in Kiruna, where you’ll make your way to the Husky Lodge to have dinner, a challenge briefing and most importantly, meet your four-legged friends who will be your closest companions for the duration of the challenge!

Challenge highlights:

  • Lead your own team of huskies across the Arctic
  • Learn how to dog sled in a long distance expedition
  • Camp in the Swedish wilderness
  • A chance to see the incredible Northern Lights!

*You pay the non-refundable Registration Fee to Global Adventure Challenges to administer the challenge, and to secure relevant permits. You then commit to raising the minimum sponsorship – 80% of the minimum sponsorship MUST be received by the charity no later than 12 weeks before departure. The charity will then pay for your Challenge Costs out of the sponsorship raised.
