Projects

The funds raised by the Charity provide care and support over and above the resources supplied by core NHS funding. The charity supports three core areas of treatment, care and research.

More specifically the Charity supports projects to create more friendly spaces within the hospital, to purchase specialist equipment that makes diagnosis and treatment of our patients quicker and easier, and medical research to improve our understanding of  illnesses and how best to treat them.

We have previously supported a number of projects including:

  • Giggle Doctors at the Children's Hospital
  • Refurbishing the hydrotherapy treatment rooms and gym at the Children's Hospital
  • Distraction technology and play equipment for children undergoing invasive treatment
  • A GMNeTS ambulance for neonatals at Saint Mary's Hospital
