Easter Donations

This Easter, rather than donating Easter eggs to patients in our hospital, we’re asking that you consider making a donation instead.

We know that each year some of our amazing supporters like to bring in Easter eggs to our young patients. However, these are not suitable for all of our patients. Some children cannot eat food as they’re preparing for surgery or a procedure. Other children may have an allergy or condition which prevents them from eating chocolate. Please also note we receive substantial donations of Easter eggs already.

That’s why we always ask people to consider making a donation instead. When you make a donation you’re ensuring that you will be supporting not just the patients in our hospital at Easter time, but the 280,000-plus patients we see through our doors each year.

When making your donation can choose to support any one of our hospitals – please just let us know when you make your donation. If you do not wish to specify, then we will use your gift wherever the need is greatest.

We are so grateful for your support. Big or small, your gift will help us to ensure that our patients continue to have the best possible experience in our family of NHS hospitals.

What if I still want to bring in Easter eggs?

If you’d like to bring in Easter eggs, they should be delivered to the Receipt and Distribution Centre. Please note eggs should not be sent to the Charity team or directly to the wards.

The address for the centre is:

Receipt & Distribution
Distribution Building (Stores) CMMT FMC Gate A
Upper Brook Street
Manchester
M13 9WL

This can be found directly opposite the exterior entrance to Children’s Emergency Department on North Road. North Road can be accessed via Hathersage Road or Grafton Street. Click here to see this location on the map (marked in yellow at the top of the map).

Please clearly mark your boxes “To the Play Team RMCH”. The Distribution Team will ensure they are delivered to the Play Team and passed out to any children and siblings that will be in hospital over the Easter period. Deliveries are accepted from 9am-5pm on normal working days, Monday – Friday. Please note this will exclude Bank Holidays.

If you’d like to speak to the Receipt & Distribution Team please call 0161 701 1578.
