Family Fundraises for Hospital which Saved Daughter’s Life

Wednesday 22nd August 2018

15-year-old Ishika Ruia from Hale has raised thousands for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital by organising a charity walk, to say thank you to the hospital for saving her life. Ishika was joined by over 70 family members and friends for a sponsored walk up Mam Tor in Derbyshire, just 8 months after being critically ill on a life-support machine at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Family’s Fundraising Hits Thousands

Family and friends of John White, a much-missed Husband, Dad and Grandad, have raised an incredible £11,000 for the Pancreatic Unit at Manchester Royal Infirmary in his memory. On 10th June 2017 John White from Glossop sadly passed away following a short illness after being diagnosed with Pancreatitis, a condition which causes the pancreas to become inflamed. Dad Completes Epic Challenge to Fundraise for Children’s Hospital

Dad-of-two, Ben Cross from Blackpool has undertaken six ambitious fundraising challenges over the past six months, to raise funds for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital which saved his little boy’s life. Richard's Mountainous Challenge for MRI

Thursday 5th July 2018

Patient Richard Potter decided to give back to Manchester Royal Infirmary by taking on a mountainous challenge! Richard was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia and underwent chemotherapy in 2014, sadly he was recently diagnosed with a condition called myelodysplasia which means this summer Richard will need to undergo a stem cell transplant.
