I SAW IT FIRST Donate £135,000
Manchester based fashion e-tailer ISAWITFIRST.com have today announced that they have raised £135,000 for the NHS. ISAWITFIRST.com and Manchester Foundation Trust Charity have been working together since March to maximise the donations raised.
The money was raised through the following activations:
- The Charity Collection - T-shirts were sold for £10 with 100% of profits going to the NHS. The collection of 24 t-shirts included four exclusively designed Isolation With The Nation T-shirts, created by The Only Way Is Essex stars Saffron Lempriere & Bobby Norris. Click here to see them.
- The Blue Category - Every Thursday, 100% of profits made through the blue category on site were donated to the NHS.
- £1 at checkout - Each customer was given the opportunity to donate £1 to the NHS at the checkout.
Manchester Foundation Trust Charity and ISAWITFIRST.com have worked collaboratively to distribute the donation. As per Bobby Norris’ wishes, £35,000 raised from the Isolation With The Nation T-shirts will be used to support a project for Adult Cancer Services, specific to Hematological cancer. £100,000 raised from the other initiatives with ISAWITFIRST.com will go towards priority projects supporting the excellence in treatment, research and care Manchester Foundation Trust Charity provide to their patients each and every day.
Manchester Foundation Trust Charity fundraises for the largest NHS Trust in the country – Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. With more than 25,000 staff employed throughout the Trust's family of hospitals and community services, they collectively see more than 2.5million patients every year.
Rachel Laycock, Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager at Manchester Foundation Trust Charity, said: “We’re so pleased to have ISAWITFIRST.com supporting our Charity and all the incredible work our teams do at hospitals in Manchester and Trafford.
“This money will make an incredible difference to our patients and ensure that our Charity can make what can be a daunting and emotional time in hospital that little bit easier. The whole team would like to thank Bobby, Saffron and ISAWITFIRST.com for their wonderful donation.”
Antonia Gough, Charity Strategy Advisor for ISAWITFIRST.com added “Further to donating £53,000 worth of PPE to the NHS, we are so proud to have raised £135,000 for Manchester Foundation Trust Charity. We felt it was important to use our online platform to support the NHS during this challenging time.
The ISAWITFIRST.com team felt passionately about raising as much awareness and money as possible, so we implemented a three-pronged activation which included: exclusively designed T-shirts, a dedicated category on site and the option to add £1 at checkout. Charity work is extremely close to our hearts at ISAWITFIRST.com and something that we’ve done in the past and something we continue to do.”
