Z Company First Fusiliers Show their Support

Z Company, First Fusiliers recently visited the hospital to find out how we have been making a difference and how their support helps us.

Z Company have so far taken part in Be Seen in Green day and six members of the company took on the three peaks in 24 hours challenge.  As if completing the three peaks wasn’t challenging enough they decided to add 15kg backpack to everyone taking part!  They completed climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike in 21 hours and 27 minutes.

On their visit to the hospital the company met some of our patients.  After seeing a picture of patient Harley in his soldiers outfit, the company then very kindly sent him his very own  First Fusiliers Teddy and a hackle.  The Hackle is a decoration for the First Fusiliers beret once they have been into battle.

To date they have raised over £1,500.
