Christmas Appeal
Supporting young people in our hospitals this Christmas
For children and young people with long-term health conditions, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital can feel like a second home – a place filled with familiar faces who feel like family. So, when a young person needs to transition to adult care and leave behind the reassuring comfort of the hospital they know, it can be daunting, unfamiliar and even frightening.
Our incredible Youth Service, made possible thanks to our supporters, works closely with children and young people, their families and clinical teams, ensuring they can step in at the crucial moment.
Celebrating 15 Years
2024 marks 15 years since Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and Saint Mary’s Hospital opened on Oxford Road.
To celebrate, we’ve created a timeline of 15 years of charitable support across our family of hospitals – providing state-of-the-art equipment, enabled pioneering medical research to advance our understanding of illnesses and how best to treat them, and created welcoming, friendly environments that allow patients, and their families, to feel at ease during their time in our care.
Build to Beat Breast Cancer Appeal
We have has teamed up with Prevent Breast Cancer to build national training academy for breast cancer professionals and to help save lives.
The appeal is raising funds for the new training facility – an extension of the Nightingale Centre at our Wythenshawe Hospital site – to provide training for a generation of breast imaging experts, helping thousands more women in the region get their mammograms.
