Lantern Walk
Join us for our annual sponsored walk in the beautiful twilight surroundings of Heaton Park, Manchester, to support our family of hospitals.
With accessible, family-friendly routes, walkers can choose between a 2km or 5km route, depending on what suits you best. There is also a quiet walk option which some participants may find more suitable.
All registered participants will receive our free fundraising guide packed full of hints and tips as well as a twinkling lantern to light up the route’s tunnel as the sun sets. As well as enjoying the scenic route, there will be plenty of entertainment along the way and fun activities to take part in.

The three participants who raise the most money at this year’s Lantern Walk will win some incredible bedding and home accessories goodies courtesy of event sponsor Happy Linen Company, the bedding and accessories outlet. • The top fundraisers will be identified after the Lantern Walk event, on Wednesday 11th December, to allow you to collect all of your sponsorship.
• All online funds raised on JustGiving, and offline funds received by the Charity by 4pm on Monday 4th December, qualify.
• Manchester Foundation Trust Charity will notify the three winners by email.
• Manchester Foundation Trust Charity will share your postal address, email address and telephone number with Happy Linen Company so that the details and dispatch of your prize can be arranged.
• Prizes are not transferable and may be redeemed by the winners only.
• The 1st place prize bedding bundle includes fleece blankets, bunting and bedding sets.
• Prizes must be redeemed within three months from the date of the Lantern Walk event on 9th November 2024.
