Great Manchester Run 2023
The Great Manchester Run is our favourite running event of the year, with so many of your coming out to support. The event brings a buzz to the city centre like no other – it simply has to be experienced.
We had hundreds of runners taking part in the 10km, Half Marathon, Junior and Mini runs, collectively raising over £70,000 to support our Charity.
It was a special event for the run, as it celebrated its 20th year. This coincided with the 75th birthday of the NHS, which was fantastic motivation for all of our runners. 440 hospital staff ran in the annual MFT Blue Wave, many of whom also raised funds for us!
So many individuals, families and corporate supporters got groups together to take on the challenge. The Campbell’s are one such family, who made up a group of 14 tackling the 10km run for son and sibling Hugo who is a Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital patient. Before the run, they were able to meet the legendary Sir Mo Farah to spur them on.
