Spotlight on…

Cooper Parry see the CREW Project

Thursday 08th May 2025

The Creativity, Resilience, Enablement and Wellbeing (CREW) Project at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital supports children and young people cared for in our inpatient mental health unit Galaxy House. The project organises workshops using music and creative expression to help young patients to build confidence, self-esteem and re-establish their identity.

In December, participants of the CREW Project put together a very special Christmas performance showcasing the incredible work of the project and the talents of those involved. We were delighted to be able to invite our partners at Cooper Parry along to the performance as staunch supporters of our Charity and the work being carried out at Galaxy House.

David Kendrick and Peter Williams from Cooper Parry supported the project in May last year by taking part in the ultra-marathon ROC Wales. The marathon comprised of a 1.5km swim, 50km bike ride, 12km trail run to the summit of Snowdon, 50km bike ride back to the start, and to top it off a 1km sprint to the finish line. The financial services company raised over £22,000 from their challenge.

We were thrilled Cooper Parry were able to come along to the performance to see the incredible impact their fundraising is having for the young people receiving care at Galaxy House.

You can watch a short film about the CREW Project below, including some of the performers from this year’s showcase.
