Trafford General Hospital
Trafford General Hospital is the birth place of the NHS and was opened by Aneurin Bevan in 1948.
Today it is a district general hospital providing a range of services to patients in Trafford, Altrincham and Greater Manchester. Services include urgent care, general surgery, children’s services, cardiology, elderly health, dermatology and rheumatology.
The hospital is also home to the Manchester Orthopaedic Centre which has earned the reputation as a centre of excellence since it opened in 2013. It aims to be a world leader in orthopaedic care using innovation, research and education to provide the highest quality experience for all their patients.
