Lace up your running shoes, pump up your bike tyres and get the kids’ wellies on for a fun-filled April with our 30 Miles Your Way challenge!
We want you to clock up 30 miles any way you like, to recognise the average distance walked by our hard-working NHS nurses every week.
You could use our 30 Miles Your Way challenge as a reason to get out in the great outdoors or get the kids (and yourself!) away from screens for a few hours. You can run, walk, cycle, scoot or swim the 30 miles in one go, or space it out across the whole month.
You could even go one step further, and complete 30 miles every week throughout the month, just like our nurses do! Whatever you do, we want you to enjoy the health benefits that physical activity and fresh air bring, while also raising money for our fantastic NHS hospitals.
By taking on our 30 Miles Your Way challenge you will be directly supporting our family of NHS Manchester hospitals, ensuring we can deliver the very best treatment, research and care for the 2.5 million patients, young and old, that are cared for by our hospitals each year. If you wish, you can use your challenge to support any one of our individual hospitals – please just let us know when you register.
Taking part is free! All we ask in return is that you raise a minimum of £30.
Make sure to share your photos and videos on social media, using the hashtag #30MilesYourWay – we can’t wait to see how you’re getting on!
