Great Manchester Run Mini and Junior

Join our 2026 Mini and Junior Great Manchester Run Team!

Your children can be part of Manchester’s biggest weekend of running and support a great cause along the way!

Taking place the day before the main Great Manchester Run, children aged 3-8 years-old can take part in the 1.6km Mini Great Manchester Run*, whilst 9-15 year-olds can opt for the 2.5km Junior Great Manchester Run, all to raise money for our family of hospitals.

*Children taking part in the Mini run must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Why run for us?

• Exclusive discounted charity entries – get your child’s place for just £10 (full price £22).
• Raise funds and change lives – we ask all children who use one of our charity places to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship.
• Support a magical cause – this year, we’re asking our Mini and Junior runners to raise funds for our MediCinema Appeal, to bring the magic of the movies to children at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and adults in Manchester Royal Infirmary.
