Betty Ellis
Betty has decided to leave a gift in her Will to Wythenshawe Hospital as she has received excellent cared from the Cardiology team. She has had various operations, including having two pacemakers and a TAVI device fitted.
“In 2019, I spent 6 weeks in hospital after having a TAVI operation. All the doctors and nurses were to brilliant, I can’t praise them enough, I could cry. I feel very lucky to have had it and be well again.
“It was very nice to be seen by junior doctors and have them test my heart – it made me feel like she was being useful to them.”
Betty also has a number of friends who have also been treated at Wythenshawe Hospital so her legacy gift is also to say thank you for the care they received. Betty chose to support MFT Charity as she wants her gift to go to the hospital where she and her friends were treated, so that she knows it will benefit similar patients in future.
